Paskelbtuose naujuose Jungtinio imtynių pasaulio (UWW) vasario mėnesio reitinguose Lietuvos atletų užimamos vietos beveik nepakito. Per mėnesį Edgaras Venckaitis (7), Aleksandras Kazakevičius (6) ir Laimutis Adomaitis (16) smuktelėjo laipteliu žemyn, o Mindaugas Mizgaitis (12) pakilo per vieną poziciją.
Dėl Edgaro ir Laimučio jokių klausimų nėra – jų taškus išbarstė užklupusios traumos ir žemos vietos pastarųjų mėnesių varžybose. Stebina Paryžiaus Grand Prix laimėtojo A.Kazakevičiaus žingsnis atgal. Tenka spėlioti, ar varžybos Prancūzijoje nėra aukšto lygio (tuo tenka abejoti, visgi Grand Prix), ar, tiesiog, įsivėlė techninė klaida.
Tuo tarpu Mindaugui Mizgaičiui bonusus vis dar neša pernai spalį iškovotas pasaulio kariškių čempiono titulas.
Kiti rezultatai bus paskelbti po mėnesio. Visai tikėtina, kad reitingų lentelėse išvysime Valdemaro Venckaičio pavardę. Sugrižęs į didįjį sportą jaunių rinktinės treneris rodė pavydėtiną meistriškumą ant imtynių kilimo: jis tapo kariškių pasaulio čempionato bronzos medalio laimėtoju, triumfavo Paryžiaus Grand Prix turnyre ir praeitą savaitgalį vykusiame analogiškame turnyre Vengrijoje liko penktas.
Nenustebintų ir Viliaus Laurinaičio pavardė reitingų lentelėje. Po sunkios kelio traumos atsigavęs pasaulio jaunimo čempionas treniruojasi pilnu pajėgumu ir pasiryžęs nenuvilti gerbėjų kovo pabaigoje vyksiančiame U23 Europos čempionate Lenkijoje.
